Together, we focus on what you CAN do, not on what you cannot.

Residential Habilitation

Services for Adults

Elite Residential Habilitation in Idaho Falls provides residential habilitation, supported living, and other services to assist adults with developmental disabilities in gaining skills and routines to improve their independence and live more integrated, fulfilling lives.

We strive to provide exceptional services self-directed by our program’s participants, honoring their choices and respecting their rights. Qualified staff members provide support and instruction on life skills such as self-direction, socialization, meal preparation, budgeting, transportation planning, community involvement, home maintenance, and more.

What is

Residential Habilitation?

Residential habilitation plays a critical role in the healthcare system by focusing on the health, safety,
functional abilities, and overall well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Unlike traditional healthcare, which typically focuses on medical treatment, residential
habilitation focuses on teaching, supporting, and maintaining daily living skills and behaviors necessary
for individuals to function as independently and safely as possible.

Residential habilitation
bridges the gap between
medical care, behavioral
support, and community
living by helping individuals
thrive safely, confidently,
and with dignity.

Providing

Services

Residential habilitation services are provided in conjunction with the Department of Health and Welfare and often involve coordination with healthcare providers, behavioral health professionals, targeted service coordinators, guardians, and Medicaid programs to ensure individuals receive comprehensive support tailored to their unique needs.

Services

from Elite

We offer 24-hour residential supports for both high and intense participants, hourly supported living services, and a variety of other individualized supports designed to meet the unique needs of those we serve. Residential habilitation and supported living services often complement one another, with many supports and skill-building activities overlapping in practice. As individuals gain independence and require less intensive assistance, it is not uncommon for services to transition from 24-hour residential habilitation to hourly supported services, ensuring continuity of care while promoting the least restrictive environment and maximizing each individual's opportunity for independence and community inclusion.
